What one payment buys
One payment buys one lookup: up to five candidate Florida filings for one business name, with every field in the field guide. A lookup that finds no match is still a paid call, and so is each retry. Proceeds settles the payment before it forwards the call to us, so an answer that ends in an error is paid for too. If that happens, email hello@registryverify.com with the time of the call and the payment id.
How an agent pays
- The agent sends a GET request to the charge URL.
- The answer is HTTP 402 Payment Required. Its JSON body and its
PAYMENT-REQUIREDheader give the network (Base,eip155:8453), the asset (USDC), the amount (100000, which is 0.10 USDC at six decimals) and the recipient. - The agent's x402 client signs the payment and sends the same request again with the payment attached.
- Proceeds settles the payment on Base and returns our JSON answer.
GET https://myproceeds.xyz/api/pay/cmupojkok000bjz043ecdfmec/verify-florida-business?name=Publix%20Super%20Markets&limit=1
Read the network and the amount from the 402 answer rather than assuming them. The payment is real USDC on Base, so an agent should tell its user it is spending money before it pays. With the AgentCash command line wallet, the whole exchange is one command:
npx agentcash@latest fetch "https://myproceeds.xyz/api/pay/cmupojkok000bjz043ecdfmec/verify-florida-business?name=Publix%20Super%20Markets"
Proceeds lists compatible agent wallets in its agent documentation.
Calling our MCP server at https://registryverify.com/mcp costs
nothing. Its tool, verify_florida_business, returns this same charge URL
for the name, with channel=mcp added (and limit and
home_state when the agent sent them), and a lookup there costs the same
0.10 USDC, paid the same way. The MCP server never takes a payment.
Proof that the endpoint settles
On 1 November 2026 at 11:20 UTC we paid for a test lookup ourselves, from our own test wallet, through the same charge URL any agent uses. The 0.10 USDC payment settled on Base and the lookup returned its answer. You can see the payment on Basescan: transaction 0x7b7c40e9…6720bf. It is our own test payment, not a customer's.
What you get for the price
Each candidate filing carries the Florida document number, status, filing type and
date, principal city and ZIP code, registered agent, up to six officers, home state,
annual report status, status history, and the Florida source file it came from. The
answer also says how current the data is, notes when a Florida filing and a filing
formed in another state carry the same name, and, when the agent sends
home_state, says how many candidates were formed in that state. The
agent guide shows how to
read it.
These are the values our search returned on 2 November 2026 for its first candidate, Publix Super Markets, Inc., shortened to the main fields and one of the six officers Florida lists. A paid answer also carries home_state, annual_report and history for each filing, and same_name_across_home_states, the start date of our status history and the full dataset block for the whole answer, which the field guide describes. limit=1 keeps the example short. Leave it out to get up to five candidates when a name could belong to more than one filing.
